"Kid-Friendly" Psychological Services Offered
Dr. Kris Pryke is a clinical psychologist practising in Kitchener-Waterloo for over 12 years. She provides a full range of assessment and counselling services to children, adolescents, young adults, and families. Services offered include:
Psychological Assessment of intelligence, memory, language processing, executive functioning, and achievement in order to determine whether a learning or developmental disability exists. Educational assessments to support the provision of Individual Education Plans and special education services. Assessments to support enriched learning for "gifted" learners.
Assessment and diagnosis of clinical problems such as , anxiety, autism spectrum disorders, defiance, FASD, hyperactivity, learning disabilities, obsessive-compulsive behaviour, traumatic stress and most other common difficulties of childhood and adolescence.
Parental Guidance and consultation for a variety of parenting concerns including aggression, defiance, divorce/separation, school refusal, sibling rivalry, temper tantrums, toileting, underachievement, and many other behavioural and emotional difficulties.
Individual therapy for children, adolescents, and young adults. Modalities include insight-oriented therapy, play therapy, interpersonal therapy, narrative therapy, and cognitive-behavioural therapy.
Family therapy is also available.
